Biggest fan of maths
I just spent thirty minutes trying to figure out how to evaluate the date command in the shell, and use the output for a filename. And remove all the special characters while doing so. I am not a hacker.
Just felt like writing something. Ah, I remember what.
IRENE - Biggest Fan
Second comeback by the Red Velvet visual (the K-Pop term for the group member with the best looks) Irene. SM is slowly figuring out that they have a charismatic singer at their hands. Gone are the days were she was relegated to whispering one line in a song, or sing nothing at all - there’s a track on Seulgi & Irene’s Monster where the track called Irene is just some synths.
Not so on Biggest Fan. Singing on every track, and it’s good. Her voice is not the most technical, but she makes up for it by adding charisma. I still believe her calling would be to front an indie rock band. Maybe when her Red Velvet days are over, she can start doing so. Let’s see.
Overall Biggest Fan delivers solid K-Pop tunes, no misses, and the single is probably the best track on the album.
Fallout Season 2
Wait, I already talked about it. Watched the first season again in Italian, just so my language skills sharpen and are Apocalypse-ready. Good show!
Maths
Took up studying some maths, because Chess is boring and I feel it benefits my art. All this pixel-pushing & -placing has a mathematical feel to it, I don’t know why. Maybe because of the precision.
Blender
Looked at Blender because I want to sculpt photographs for my next picture. That is, emboss, pull and distort it in three dimensions using Blender’s sculpting tools. Very interesting. Blender only crashed 20 times because I didn’t understand you should be careful with modifiers and 2 million faces on an object. Pahh!
Cars
Any new cars worth talking about it? VW is going for the fishes, or however you say ‘is about to die’. KIA brought a new smallish EV for city use. Don’t care. The Genesis GV60 Magma is about to launch… in the coming months. New Supercars… there’s some dutch manufacturer that I never heard about, that’s making some Tim-Burton-Batman cars. Wait lemme check its name. Donkervoort. That’s it. Check it out. Used ones for about 300k+. So pretty much nothing. Go get one.
Sickness
Got a new technology in the basement so my feet don’t get cold. It’s a plastic trough for pork meat I put on a heated clothes rack whose legs are chopped of. So it’s just some hot pipes resting on the floor. On which the trough is placed. Very high-tech. I’m living the Fallout future already.
Computer
Too lazy to install a M.2 SSD I bought before the AI boom. It could be helpful for storing the video files I will create later this year. Let’s see, maybe my laziness will vanish once the current disks get full.
TV
Nothing else besides Fallout. Some documentaries about World War 2, 1, and the Vietnam War. Art videos on color theory, and Blender.
Music
More Death Metal, and Jazz. I think I like Cattle Decapitation and Blood Incantation the most when it comes to modern Death.
Claude
Fucked around with everyone’s LLM of choice. Despite the source code leak earlier this week, it’s still a solid way to experience hallucinating statistical parlour tricks. Good for manuals and asking it for Blender techniques I didn’t know about. Where is A, how do I do B - just expect it to occasionally bullshit you. For research no, as a faulty manual for new software - maybe?
Spelling errors
I’m no longer proof-reading this shit, so you know it’s not AI.
