I think I’m over cars. None of the new stuff excites me. Paying a premium for what basically amounts to beta technology doesn’t excite me. I need a new technology to nerd out on. So what about synths?
I just spent thirty minutes trying to figure out how to evaluate the date command in the shell, and use the output for a filename. And remove all the special characters while doing so. I am not a hacker.
Decided to watch Fallout Season 2 last weekend. Quickly realized I don’t really care about it and switched to the Italian dub, so at least I’m learning something. Ferma! Lucy!
What am I up to? I just finished a digital painting, not sure what to think about it. Some interesting thoughts, some experiments. I think I became too obsessed with the pixels at some point, and got lost.
Finished another digital artwork. It’s called M4 Tank knockdown, and it’s based on a photograph of a battle in Guam in 1944. Involving M4 tanks. The original was taken from the Library of Congress website, as it’s in the public domain.
When was the last time I rambled about media I consumed? I can’t remember. It must be in the far past. Like, two weeks ago. Maybe longer. Who knows at this point.
Finished reading Primo Levi’s If This Is a Man the other day. It’s an account of his stay at the Auschwitz III concentration camp during the last years of World War II.
