Links I have known and loved in Q2 2026

It’s that time of the year again, where I recap all the links I’ve collected in the past quarter. And see if I can still remember what they were about.

Like last time, I’m not cheating by actually opening those links and reading them. I just look at them, and try to find their purpose in my mind forest.

East India Company. Is there a reason not to bookmark the East India Company? No, but seriously, I’m currently reading a book on pirates, so that might have played a role.

Blender 5.1 EEVEE Raytracing. I was researching Blender for possible use in a video project. I’ve already completed the project, but sans Blender. It’s just an animation of all the worksteps necessary for completing one of my digital artworks. You can see it on my Instagram-page @rowini30.

Mannigfaltigkeit. I took some time off to delve into mathematics, specifically, trying to understand whatever Les paysages mathématiques was posting that day. They’re on Mastodon and worth a look, lots of quotes and theorems you’ve never heard about (I didn’t).

This is exactly how AI psychosis starts…. A tweet showcasing how easy it is to fake video with AI. I think. There’s so many of these now, but this one was spooky.

Apollonisches Problem. Another maths thing, but I like the title. Apollonisches Problem. Even the greek/roman gods are involved. Wow.

The Ultimate Oldschool PC Font Pack. I used one of the fonts in one of my artworks. Very nice looking. Worth a shot.

Ruth Moufang. Another mathematician, I don’t know why I bookmarked her. Maybe she was working on a problem I liked.

AKAI Professional MPK Mini IV Gray. A tiny keyboard for my desk? Why not. Maybe something tinier. Maybe something I can roll up. Not sure yet. It’s for my animation videos, just writing a little ditty.

Sacharja 11 — Die Bibel (Schlachter 2000). When Russell Brand was having his little Bible moment on Piers Morgan’s show, I got curious about his favourite verse in the bible. He couldn’t find it, but it was something in the book of - wait, now I made a mistake. Sacharja is not the German version of Isaiah. Anyway, I read Isaiah as well. It’s interesting for Christians because it foreshadows the coming of Jesus Christ. That is, if you believe his prophecy of the coming of the messiah is actually Jesus Christ.

Palantir - Software that dominates. Gross picture of a Palantir ad in the San Francisco airport. Heard someone talk about it on the trashfuture or TruAnon podcast.

Schleppkurve ⬝ nervousdata. Live coding, making sounds with algorithms. Fun! Mostly interesting to me because I can generate sounds by changing strings.

teenage-engineering-po-33-ko. A neat little sequencer for making songs with sounds you burp into its tiny microphone. Cool, maybe I’ll buy it one day.

This is a “Vantara” watch given by Anant Ambani to those invited to his “pre-wedding bash” in India. The kind of million-dollar-watch rich people give each other when they marry. Fun stuff, I wonder how many villages in India can survive on that money.

The Bible and Western Culture - Part 1 - The Pauline Tradition. Probably a Frye lecture. I’ve talked about it before.

Omphalos. A weird word whose meaning I forgot.

All That Jazz (film). A film by a dance guy with some good/interesting dance scenes. Search it on Youtube. The guy who made it did the choreography on the Little Prince movie. A choreography that was very inspirational to Michael Jackson. Search “snake little prince” on Youtube and find out where MJ got his moves from.

Tiwanaku. No clue what this is. Maybe something related to the Inca.

Counting cuts & transitions in T-ARA’s Sugar Free MV ver.1. Behold the magic of K-Pop editing. Watch this and feel your mind disintegrating before you.

The Data Center Takeover of America is So Much Worse Than You Think. Another dystopian vision of the present, datacenters and their negative impact on the environment and communities. And society as a whole.

Attis-Kult in Rom. I think this is the cult where noobs have to castrate themselves in order to become priests. Kewl.

Just thinking outloud 🤓 Delivery service and punishment in China. Didn’t I write about this before? A Youtube short describing the experience of using delivery services in China. Very interesting.

Cocaine synthesized in a tobacco plant. Synthesized cocaine would be great. Let’s produce it in Europe and legalize it, destroying the lifeblood of organized crime. No, but seriously.

Airbus H145 Loses Its Cockpit to Become the U145 Uncrewed Helicopter. Watch as all the armies turn into Skynet.

This 492-Foot Superyacht Concept Is Bigger Than Most Ports and Hides a Magical Seven-Deck Design. More decadence from the rich. We really need a yacht with its own amusement park.

Waved Studio — Browser-native wavetable synthesizer. Fuck around with synthesizers and sound waves in your browser. Very cool.

Dreyfus has been a disaster. Someone shitting on the Heidegger scholar whose book I’m currently reading. Not nice! Well nobody’s perfect. Or these people are full of shit.

‘Carspreading’ could lead to extra 2,600 crash deaths a year by 2040, study finds. Wtf is carspreading? I don’t remember.

« Une chose est sûre : l’avenir de l’écologie ne passe pas par l’environnementalisme, mais par la lutte des classes. ». The fight for a better ecology is a fight for less inequality. Been hearing about this. Use Google Translate. I believe he’s a French Green politician.

The Zankou Chicken Murders. A murder story from LA, a rich guy (and owner of a fried chicke empire) kills his entire family. Iirc. True Crime meets LA, I can’t resist.

And that’s it. Lots of stuff left out, hope you like what I picked. Q4 is coming up soon, so get ready for Q3 soon. Buenas Noches wherever you are.
