Christmas in Stranger SSD Egypt
I’ll figure out what I want to write about as I go. Not really sure yet. I’ve got a stuffy nose and some tea in front of me, plus some radio show about Christmas carols in my ear.
The Accidental Detective
Funny buddy-cop movie about a true-crime guy and a hardened old cop. Watched the first hour, and it was good. Finally, something light-hearted out of Korea! Well, not really. You’ve got the usual murders going on, but this time, some funny non-abusive interactions added to the mix. Woah!
RAM and SSD prices
AI is causing the prices for consumer RAM and SSDs to spike. Buy it now, while you can. As I type this, it’s probably gone up a few percent. I myself bought a new SSD yesterday. Initially I wanted to wait until next year, but everyone kept telling me “nah”. As my GPU is now 10 years old, I bought a newer model on the used market as well. Just 3 years old. Gonna be playing some triple-A-supa-games shortly on my PC. Not really. I just want to try out better shaders on Retroarch.
Winter is coming
Snowfall, ice, yeah. Going to Egypt next week, one of those cruises on those big ships. Honestly, I’m more interested in the cruise ship than in the holiday. What hellish sociology awaits me? How many viruses will I pick up? Let’s wait and see.
Stranger Things Season 5
Haven’t seen it. Rewatched all of the previous ones two months ago, was good. The first one is really solid TV, can’t go wrong. Everything works. The other ones are good too, but occasionally I skipped past dialogue I felt was unnecessary. And the fat cop guy now has some bad rep in the media. Apparently Lily Allen said mean things about him, in her songs, on her new album. Idk.
War in Ukraine
War sucks! How long has this been going on? Is there still a ceasefire in Gaza? What’s happening in Sudan? Why are bad things happening ah well.
