It’s playable in your browser, so no fancy 10k PC needed for degustation of Fine Art. Talking about fine art, Art Spiegelman and Joe Sacco are set to collaborate on a graphic novel about Gaza. I’ve both read Maus, a tale about the Holocaust, and Sacco’s Palestine, so this will be one to watch out for.
In other things good-looking, someone posted a picture of their 1970s Braun Atelier on the audiophile subreddit. Designed by Dieter Rams, the clean and industrial looking hi-fi tower exudes timelessness, like a Star Wars Destroyer spaceship from the same era. Maybe Lucas was inspired by Rams’ ideas on design? One who definitely admits the influence is Apple designer Jony Ive. Just take a look at the portable T3 transistor radio next to a first-generation iPod.
But enough about design, what about Zombies? Newtopia is a new K-Drama starring Jisoo of Black Pink-fame. And people do not like her acting! Honestly, the trailer makes it look like corny fun, I’ll check it out.
Cars. Top Gear took a look at four Restomods, and compared their looks, drivability, and desirability. To cut things short, the Lancia (Kimera EVO37) comes out on top.
They definitely had a better time with a 40 year old car than this passenger had with his Waymo autonomous taxi: on its way to the airport, the vehicle decided to go in circles in a parking lot instead. Fun times! Almost as much fun as this short video of a driverless car crashing into a food-delivery robot. Yum.
Will machines ever outsmart humans? What is the brain? At least Werner Herzog takes a look at some of the latest findings in cognitive research in Theatre of Thought. There are many interviews, I have not seen it, and it is the product of a partnership with the Neurorights Foundation. Who knows.
Maybe just drop some acid and listen to Cocteau Twins instead.
