Picked Dear X as K-Drama for the weekend, and have mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, it’s a really interesting look at Korean society and the prevalence of bullying. On the other hand, it’s a bit cheesy.
I’ve been watching the videos by DoubleReelTV lately, a channel devoted to shining the light on 80s and 90s TV shows and their history.
I watched the first four episodes of The Manipulated, a Korean drama (K-Drama) about a guy framed for a murder he didn’t commit. Actually, it should be called Framed; that would be better. The Manipulated sounds kinda weird and English-as-second-language.
I saw the Mamma Mia comeback by izna and thought, ‘Hmm, well that’s not good’. Then I forgot about it, but Youtube kept shoving it back in my face and I said ‘fine, I’ll check out that mini album’!
Some time ago, I got bored of all the K-Pop I listen to, and decided to go foraging through music history to see if I could find something of interest. And there it was: Prog Rock.
I watched some stuff, and had some thoughts about it. I wrote them down, so this blog doesn’t go stale. And lest I forget how to generate the banner image, because that involves plugins and a complex arithmetic only the wise men in a distant land know.
Ever since the Chicken Jockey hype, I’ve been thinking how events like this can save cinema, and society as a whole. Also bring back porn theatres.
