Sheikh by Rowini30
Here’s my latest artwork, called Sheikh. I did not stretch any planes or layers this time, but did some scratching in Blender. By that, I mean turn the whole thing into a sculpture, and then scratch and sculpt the surface.
The pulling in ‘Homeless’ I did not like, it looked cheap. Maybe refine it more, or choose a different approach.
I also used a new technique to choose which parts to paint, in what order, and the limits (within the canvas) of a current session. Maybe I’ll go into detail on how to do that in another post, but suffice it to say, I create expressive, low-res drawings in another program, upscale them, and import them as a layer mask. Somehow. Too complicated now. Anyway, here’s the painting.

If it’s too big, go to the other side of the room so the pixels start to blur. Or not. Go real close, and let your nose touch the glass.
