I like hot chocolate and herbal infusion. On Saturday mornings, I usually try to catch up with the latest Anime. I bought two baby Tarantulas during Corona and still have them, so technically I’m a spider dad.

When I’m not researching for my next book, I like reading German newspapers, the Economist, Architectural Digest, and other stuff that gives me insight into pop cultural and societal trends. My favourite TV show right now is Wednesday, it feels like Tim Burton re-invented Harry Potter in his own world. Cool.

Food-wise I’m pescetarian, my last meal on Death Row would probably be lentil stew with vegetables. Slow-cooked.

Who’s my favourite writer? Hmm. Hunter Thompson and the whole crew of New Journalism influenced me heavily. Michael Herr, Tom Wolfe, Gay Talese and also John Dos Passos. He’s technically not New Journalism but in my mind he occupies the same category, his USA Trilogy is probably one of my favourite books. Right now I’m reading The Making of the Atomic Bomb by Richard Rhodes; it’s pretty long but also pretty good.

I live somewhere to the east of Vienna in the Austrian countryside. Physically. Mentally I’m locked into the Internet-sphere 24/7. What else? I don’t know, check out my art or writing for more. Or buy something from my shop, so I can feed my spiders more roaches.
